"Slurpee" has an undeniably propulsive, psychedelic energy that I aimed to evoke visually. Rather than literally represent his stream-of-conscious lyrics, I portrayed the story's narrative using abstract shapes and soothing colors. Halfway through the song, more instruments join into the composition, and the energy picks up, so one of my first decisions was to transition from a dark first half to a light second half when the mood of the song shifts.
